This is true. Doing the right thing every single time can be hard.  admit I make mistakes and don't choose the right. Although it can be hard at times, the way I see it, it is the only way you can show how great of a person you are. It doesn't matter if you aren't rich or smart or cool because in life the thing that people will get to know is your personality. If you aren't a person who choose the right then it shows in the way you treat others. Being a genuine and kind person is better than being the smartest, the richest or the coolest. People judge even if it's unintentional but if I were to be judged, I would want to be judged as the kind person who tries to do the right thing even in a hard situation, not the one who treats everyone like trash.

" In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing."

This is true. I can be pretty dumb when it comes to making decisions because I hesitate and panic. But when I have to make a really important decision I always ask myself and my mom what is the best thing. When I come to a decision, an important one, I try to make a decision that won't only benefits me but others around me in a good way. Life has many decision whether they are life-changing or simple lie picking an ice cream flavor but in all of them, we hesitate, even if it a little decision. Life changing decisions are the ones that we hesitate the most.  we think what will happen, is it right, or should I do this. The only I can say when making a big decision is will it only benefit you or others around you.

Wilford Woodruff

" Nothing is ever gained by doing what's wrong"

I agree with this quote because the only thing that can be gained when doing the wrong is punishment and you don't gain that, you bring it on yourself. You may earn a lesson when you do the wrong thing but you aren't gaining anything, in fact, you're losing your time for going through something that could have been avoided. I have done many wrong things and I wasted my time trying to fix something I could have avoided and didn't need to go through. In life, you are racing against time trying to accomplish what you want to and by doing something wrong instead of gaining one teeny tiny thing, you lose your time and maybe even your friends.The only way you can gain something in life is doing the right thing not only for your sake but for others. It's better to be remembered as a good person than a bad person.

Recreation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: They are therapists who coordinate a recreation program for patients with disabilities, illnesses, and injuries. They can use art and crafts, dancing and etc to help the patient improve physical, emotional, social and mental health. They help their patient by observing them and making a plan that goes with them so they can get the help they need.

Salary: $47,680 per year

Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher

Reflection: I would actually be very interested to pursue this career because I want to be able to get people back on their feet and live a better life. I want to be able to interact with my patients and be a great help to them. I believe this is a good way to give back to my community.

Coach Pam Knox

"It's a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."

I agree with this quote because, in the clip we saw, I saw two girls from the opposing team help their opponent with an injury finish her home run. This is a great example because it shows how they helped her at the right time by doing something good. The audience we amazed by what happened and thankful.But overall it's true. For you to experience a great moment, you have to do it at the right time. Timing is everything but also doing something good. A great moment cannot happen when the person does something bad. Timing and making the right choice are the main things you need to have a great moment that you and others will remember.Sometimes its hard to do the right thing, but if you go through what you know you have to do, you have a great character. Your mind has the thought of helping out stuck in and you don't ignore it. To me that is a great character, going through with what you know is right no matter what others think.

Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities: They are also known as radiographers. What they do is they have the patient have x-ray screenings. They tell the patent what position to be in to take the best and most precise x-ray. They take a medical history and answer any questions about the procedure. They also protect the patients exposed parts by covering them up before the x-ray is taken.

Salary: $60,070 per year

Education: Associates degree

Reflection: This job seems interesting and helpful for doctors, but it is something I don't think I'll enjoy. I want to help my community but this is not a career I would pursue. I would want to pursue a different career.

Veterinarians

Duties and responsibilities: Vets are doctors who specialize in the health of animals. A vet can do surgery on animals. They usually diagnose any diseases that can occur to livestock and pets. Sometimes they can provide treatment for these animals and when wounded they help rehabilitate them. Depending on the area you chose to work in those are the animals you are assigned to.

Salary: $90,420 per year

Education: State license and a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary medicine) 

Reflection: When I was little I wanted to be one and I still do. I would like to pursue this career because I love animals. It is a job I would enjoy because I love spending time with animals. Although I still am not sure what I want to be this is an option I have in mind.

Karl G Maeser

" I have been asked what I mean by word of honor. I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far in the ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape;but stand me on a floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, Never! I'd die first."

I think what this quote really means to me is that when You are surrounded by materials people and places, you can escape that one way or another. But your word of honor is something you can't escape. The only way to be able to escape it is to fulfill your end. To have a word of honor is like a promise and others might think oh its okay if I break this promise but in reality, it's not like that. Promises were created to fulfill your end of the bargain no matter what. Even if it was hard to do you have to honor that. A word of honor is similar, they were created to be followed and not broken. The same others may break it but it's not really the sensible and moral thing to do.

X Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: To be able to see inside the human body, they use cutting-edge imaging methods. To analyze some images, these technicians work with radiologists. What they usually do before taking someone's x-ray is that they run a medical history and answer the questions their patient may have. Then they put them in front of the machine to see what is going on inside them. There are many different jobs and an x-ray technician can choose what area they want to work with. For example, bones, breasts, and nerves. 

Salary: $76,060

Education: Associate's degree and certification tied with experience.

Reflection: I would be interested to pursue this career because I get to interact with my patients. I also get to work with machines and be able to see what goes on in the human body. I also believe this is a job I will actually look forward to.

Most of the Indian Commandments all talk about having good morals and thinking of others. In my personal opinion, whoever created these commandments deserves more credit because yea laws are important to follow and keep order in society but these laws that they created to care for something else. Maybe they had order in their society I'm not sure but with these commandments, I can see that the Natives had great respect for any living thing. They also were well self-disciplined to know the right apart from the wrong. All of these have the similar thing that it is to do the right thing not just for yourself but for others. Their commandments are unique but it should be something that we should all follow not just for ourselves but for others. Who knows maybe our society will fall and it will be due to the racism and violence, just because we can't accept each other. 

Radiation Oncologists

Duties and Responsibilities: They are doctors who treat cancers and tumors through radiation therapy. They study how gamma rays, x rays, and electron destroy cancers in certain areas. First, they confirm the cancer diagnosis and then talk with their patient to see what treatment is best for them. They can work in hospitals, research labs, group practice, private practice or they can teach at a school. Must work long hours so they must have a strong stamina. They must be able to have interpersonal communication skills to be able to talk to the cancer patients and their families.

Salary:$477,807

Education: Training in radiation therapy, complete residency and fellowship, and have 4 years of medical school.
                                             

 

Reflection: I would like to pursue this career because I would like to help cancer patients live and have hope. Cancer is a tough thing to go through and this career helps them greatly, whether it is to cure it or treat it, it helps patients live a little longer and fight. I want to help them and their families go through this and I feel like in this job I will communicate with my patients a lot. I want to be able to have my patients trust and for me to help them get through that fight.
