" A promise must never be broken "

I'm Christian and we believe the same thing. What I learned in church is that you must honor your promise and not just drop it because a promise is so much more than words. It is something that you are tied to accomplish not just words. Even when I became Christian My mom taught me this moral and she told me don't make promises you know you can't keep and if you make a promise fulfill it.  In my opinion, a promise should be honored but nowadays people just say words and say I promise and when it comes to the moment they don't honor what they have promised.To me, a promise is like a dirty glass when you wash it thoroughly you see it shine, but if you don't wash it or don't wash it well it's not shiny or clear. What I am trying to say is when you make a promise and got through with it you feel relieved and in a way, you look "shiny" so people will trust you. But if you don't fulfill a promise you're like a dirty glass that no one trusts or uses.
