Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: These surgeons specialize in the mouth and jaw. They are usually there working with orthodontists when it comes to do a surgery on the patient. Usually these surgeons provide care to the patient before and after their surgery, this includes check ups and medication. They must be able to multi task because sometimes it requires them to oversee some office administrations and keep record of their patients.
Salary: $187,200 or more depending where you are and what position
Education: Doctoral of Dental Surgery Degree
Reflection: No I would not like to pursue this career because I would not like to be in the medical field that involves working with the mouth. To me it is very sensitive like the eye and a person must be very careful. Also it has never interested me to work in this particular job. If I were to pursue a job in the medical field I would pursue a different career.
